Our Parent Council

About Our School

We have a parent council which is made up of a parent representative from each year group, Governors and members of Redwell Helping Hands (School's Parent Association).

We meet once a term to discuss school issues and share ideas. This is a really useful way for us to canvas for parent opinions, build even stronger relationships and make links within our wider community.

The role of the Parent Council representative includes:

·         approaching the parents in each year group for their opinions

·         being approachable for other parents to discuss issues

·         bringing the opinions to the meetings to discuss

·         being open and responsive to other people’s ideas and comments

·         sharing information from meetings with the other parents in each year group

·         being a critical friend to the school

·         linking with the Year group teachers to improve communication

·         helping to move Redwell Primary School forward to make our school even better

·         attending meetings
